Fuorisalone 2025, “Canale a Colori” at Palazzo Galloni in Milan
Set within the historic Palazzo Galloni, in the heart of Fuorisalone, the site-specific exhibition Canale A Colori offered an immersive narrative exploring the theme “Light, Water, Matter.” Curated by architect Dario Biello, the exhibition combined architecture, art, and design in a multisensory experience.
A key element of the installation was the intervention on the building’s main façade, reimagined using a lightweight fabric that blends aesthetics with technical performance. The material interacted with dynamic lighting and the natural flow of the Naviglio canal, turning the surface into a shifting scenography. Its high-performance features also contributed to the environmental sustainability of the project.
In addition to this temporary installation, the exhibition included three works from the Contemporary Tapestries Collection, created by international artists and studios: Prospettiva Centrale by Alberonero, i-Mesh 3D by Ippolito Fleitz Group, and Increase by the Graphic Surgery duo. These three distinct artistic approaches shared the same intent: to explore the expressive potential of fabric as a soft, decorative material—ideal for projects that push the boundaries of textile architecture and soft architecture.
The event showcased the versatility of an innovative technical fabric, capable of adapting to different project scales and contexts—from urban architecture to interiors, from solar shading to contemporary artworks such as tapestries.
