Venice, April 8, 2022 - Guided by the creative vision of Migliore+Servetto, i-Mesh collaborated to create two unique installations both inside and outside the historic Procuratie Vecchie building.
The goal was to transform the spaces through textile art, seamlessly blending tradition and modernity. For the first time in its 500-year history, the Procuratie Vecchie on St. Mark's Square in Venice opened its doors to the public. This event marked the unveiling of the new headquarters for Generali Group's The Human Safety Net (THSN) Foundation, located on the third floor of this iconic building. The Interior, Exhibition & Multimedia Design segment was orchestrated by Migliore+Servetto studio under the artistic direction of Davide Rampello.
Inside the palace, six white fiberglass tapestries stand as artworks, each detail meticulously crafted by architects Migliore+Servetto with the technical expertise of i-Mesh. Among these, a standout tapestry features a tree designed using i-Mesh's Random pattern, which emerges elegantly and powerfully, symbolizing rebirth and the connection with nature. Outside the palace, textile art comes to life through 22 suspended tapestries that dance gently in the Venetian breezes.
Five different custom patterns designed by the architects alternate, creating a captivating visual experience for visitors walking through the palace's interior atrium. The fiberglass, maintaining its natural snow-white color, was enhanced with red details, recalling the Assicurazioni Generali logo and lending an aura of prestige and sophistication.
The building’s exterior facade also showcased an i-Mesh creation. The Generali logo was emblazoned on a white fiberglass base, becoming the centerpiece of an extraordinary installation that celebrated excellence and innovation.
The decision by Migliore+Servetto to collaborate with i-Mesh was deliberate, born from a longstanding relationship of trust and mutual respect, fostered by years of collaboration and shared achievements. This partnership enabled them to transform visions into reality, resulting in an extraordinary experience that will remain etched in the memory of all those who had the privilege of participating.
i-Mesh and architects Migliore+Servetto have demonstrated that art, design, and technology can merge harmoniously and can be integrated seamlessly, initiating a project destined to leave an indelible mark on the urban and cultural landscape of the lagoon city.
